Research by Eisenberger et al., (1986) suggests that Perceived Organisational Support (POS) refers to employees’ perceptions that the organisation values their contributions and cares about their well-being. This research has shown that POS relates to an extensive variety of positive outcomes including increased creativity, better employee performance, reduced turnover, healthier employees and greater engagement.
Utilising methods associated with POS, AngloGold Ashanti Australia Senior Vice President Michael Erickson and Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, Cara Philpott will share some of their organisational drivers and experiences in developing the Wellbeing @ AGAA Strategy throughout 2020. Michael and Cara will discuss the positive outcomes on organisational culture, employee engagement, and workplace mental health across the Australian business. Their presentation will illustrate that Organisational Psychology theories and methodologies, such as POS can successfully create healthy and productive workplaces.
