Uncovering expertise: An introduction to cognitive task analysis
Cognitive task analysis methods provide a means to gain an in-depth understanding of the cognitive processes behind expert performance. This webinar will provide an overview of these methods, including the critical decision method and verbal protocol analysis, giving examples of their use for knowledge elicitation.
Associate Professor Gemma Read is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Gemma has over 15 years’ experience applying human factors and systems thinking theories and methods to improve safety and optimise performance in various domains including transport safety, workplace safety and healthcare.
