With Dr. Steve Shorrock, Senior Team Leader – Human Factors (EUROCONTROL)

In this webinar, Dr. Steven Shorrock, Editor-in-Chief of Hindsight Magazine, synthesises lessons from the diverse selection of articles from front-line staff, senior managers, and specialists in operations, Human Factors and safety experts in HindSight magazine issue 36, “People in Control? Staying in the Loop”. This issue investigates the complex control relationships involving people, technologies and organisations, from the perspectives of personal experience, professional practice, theory, research, and regulation. It explores questions such as: Who are the people, and what control do they have, from the ‘blunt end’ of society and its institutions, to the ‘sharp end’ of operations? What control should people have? What influences and constrains control? How does technology change human control? How do we ‘stay in the loop’, and which loops should we be concerned with?
